Creating a template for a key promotional campaign

The head of a developing marketing department needed a senior-level resource to apply a more strategic approach to running the company’s most important annual campaign.
Response: Mspec provided interim project management for six months consisting of both strategic communications consultancy coupled with hands-on tactical delivery.
Results: Campaign targets were achieved, with delivery of a template for a fully integrated marketing communications approach including guidelines for an annual business and marketing review, campaign brief development, advertising agency supervision, internal and external communication activity as well as criteria for campaign monitoring and evaluation.

Delivering a marketing planning function

An insurance company needed marketing analysis and planning input to pursue new business development opportunities with limited budget available and no in-house marketing resource to provide it.
Response: Mspec was contracted to provide business analysis capability and
strategic marketing planning consultancy to help guide appointed project teams through a
step-by-step process to assess the estimated costs and feasibility of realising the opportunities identified.
Results: Delivery of ongoing consultancy has provided facilitation of team workshops to embed more of a strategic marketing approach to new business development plus assistance with the drafting of job specifications for permanent staff to fulfil marketing analysis and planning roles.

Fast-track turnaround of a publishing requirement

A senior manager carrying an unduly heavy workload within the
UK operating unit of a multi-national company required help producing a
customer magazine.

Response: With minimal briefing, Mspec took last-minute responsibility for project managing printing production of the 8-page, A4 publication and its delivery to a distribution house -- requiring provision of editorial and copywriting services, design and layout input as well as supply chain management.
Results: The issue was published on schedule and, for the first time, designed to form an integral part of the major promotional campaign supporting the manager’s business area.
